A second flavour in the quartet inspired by gelato flavours in Gelato Messina’s lineup is Arnott’s Tim Tam Messina Choc Mint. Of all the flavours, the Coconut & Lychee is the only one I’ve tried in gelato form, the others being rather pedestrian. Each Tim Tam has two biscuits sandwiching a mint flavoured buttercream and enrobed in a milk chocolate.

The Tim Tam smells and tastes like a Mint Slice by Arnott’s with the only points of distinction being the pale green mint buttercream with specks of mint leaf in contrast to the white mint cream in a Mint Slice. The mint flavour was refreshing and well complemented by the sweet milk chocolate enrobing the chocolate biscuits, but less bright or intense than that in a Mint Slice.
While I enjoyed these Tim Tams, it would have been more interesting to see Gelato Messina draw from the more unique flavours in their lineup, like Salted Coconut & Mango Salsa or Poached Figs in Marsala.
This Arnott’s Tim Tam Messina Choc Mint contained 9 biscuits. It was produced in Australia and was purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2017.
