After enjoying the mild salt and wasabi seaweed tempura snacks by Aji Ichiban from Hong Kong, D and I wanted more. So we decided to give these Tao Kae Noi Original Style Hi Tempura a try when we spotted them in an Asian supermarket.
These seaweed tempura snacks have the same format as the Aji Ichiban ones, with tempura covering a rectangular sheet of seaweed. Their taste is different though, with this original style having a pleasant garlic and onion flavour that’s less Japanese and more generic Asian than the mild salt and wasabi flavours. We enjoy it though, as they bring a depth of flavour to the crunchiness of the seaweed tempura.
This Tao Kae Noi Original Style Hi Tempura contained 40 g. It was produced in Thailand and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2017.
