The Nespresso Indriya from India is a single origin blend of lightly roasted Arabica and well roasted Robusta from Southern India.
With an intensity of 10 out of 12, Indriya from India comes in an olive green capsule.
The espresso was a translucent deep brown-black colour with a prominent cocoa nose and hints of spice. According to Nespresso, Indriya from India is best prepared as a ristretto as that’s how it best ‘expresses all its passion’, although an espresso is still acceptable for those preferring something less intense. Prepared as a long black with a 1 to 1 water:espresso ratio, intense bitter cocoa notes came through at the head of each sip before a spiciness that recalled pepper and nutmeg emerged in the body to create a full-bodied mouthfeel ahead of a medium acidity towards the end that leaves a dry, astringent finish.
