Nespresso Dulsao do Brasil

The Nespresso Dulsao do Brasil is a pure Arabica coffee made from a delicate blend of red and yellow Bourbon beans from the hill-top plantations of Southern Brazil.

The beans are ‘harvested by hand, then pulped and sun-dried to allow the mucillage sugars to infuse the bean with a mellow flavour’. It’s a mild coffee, with an intensity rating of 4 out of 13.

The espresso was a translucent deep brown colour with an intense toasted aroma. Prepared as a long black with a 1 to 1 water:espresso ratio, mellow acidic notes came through with a satiny smooth mouthfeel from the head of each sip, developing with a pleasant sweetness in the body before enjoyable bitter notes emerged in the finish and linger with a distinctive toasted flavour in the aftertaste. Overall, this is an immensely enjoyable coffee with an intensely smooth and round mouthfeel and follows closely behind the Nespresso Dharkan as a preferred coffee.

This Nespresso Dulsao do Brasil contained 10 x 5.3 g capsules. It was produced in Switzerland and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2017.
