Continuing with their bear theme, Glico Pocky Cookies & Cream is a chocolate biscuit stick enrobed in a cream mousse speckled with chocolate cookie flakes.
The unsweetened chocolate biscuit stick complements the sweetness from the vanilla mousse while the chocolate cookie provides a sweet crunchy element. It tastes much like the Glico Pocky Cookies & Cream, with the exception that the mousse is sweeter and has a less milky taste.
The panda-theme is carried throughout the packaging and product itself. The front of the box shows a panda holding a bunch of Pocky as if they were bamboo, while the back of the box shows the rear of the panda complete with his fluffy tail and a tag to show he’s a panda, much like on plush toy. Even the plastic packaging for the Pocky is printed with pandas rolling about. And of course the Pocky biscuit stick itself is black/brown and white just like the colours of a panda. There’s just no beating the Japanese when it comes to attention to detail in packaging!
