This is the Chatime Lychee Green Tea ($5.00 for regular, +$0.70 for pearls) with no ice and 30% sugar.
The tea is a cloudy green-yellow colour with a sweet fruity aroma. Served chilled, the lychee came through from the first sip with its characteristic sweet and tropical floral notes. The reduced sugar gave a more natural lychee flavour without being heady. Into the body, the notes of lychee build with a pleasant and mild acidity as in the fresh fruit, while the green tea lingered in the background throughout the sip as a persistent and moderate astringency with a mild bitterness. The pearls are also bouncy and not overly sweet as in the Guava Green Tea, so it might be a consistency issue.
Lychee Green Tea was purchased at Chatime in Sydney, Australia during May 2018.
