This is the Glico Pretz Takoyaki and is a mini version of the giant version also for the Kinki (or Kansai) region and differs from the Hyogo Prefecture limited edition version.
These were mini boxes, so each box contained one orange bag rather than the usual two.
Each box contained around ~20 biscuit sticks.
The Pretz are dusted in red and green seasoning and have a fragrant savoury and tangy aroma of takoyaki — or Worcestshire — sauce. Upon tasting, the same notes of the takoyaki sauce came through with a subtle yet enjoyable heat of ginger before seafood notes emerged in the body to give the impression of octopus in the finish with the overall takoyaki flavour lingering pleasantly in the aftertaste. These Pretz are more savoury than the Hyogo Prefecture version and crunchier (by virtue of being thinner) than the Giant version.
This Glico Pretz Takoyaki (Kinki) contained 23 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Saitama, Japan in 2018.
