With our favourite Grove Juice Signature Mandarin Juice no longer stocked at our usual supermarkets, we’ve reverted to our long-standing juice of choice from before, the reliable Original Black Label Juice Co Orange Juice. But this The Juice Brothers Morning Start seems to be part of The Juice Brothers line that replaced the Grove Juice line.
There’s no mandarin juice in the lineup, but this one does blend pear (43.6%), orange (40%) and apple (11.5%) juices with pineapple (3.1%), mango (1.3%) and passionfruit (0.5%) juices.
The juice is a translucent yellow colour with the aroma of tropical fruits. Served chilled, sweet notes of pear and apple came through with a gentle citrus acidity from the orange ahead of more tropical acidity from the passionfruit and pineapple in the body that develop into sweeter tropical notes of mango in the finish. Overall, the juice has a very smooth mouthfeel, with the mango pulp adding just enough viscosity to the juice. It’s well balanced in sweetness and acidity, making it a more gentle start to the morning than standard orange juice or the kickstart from the Daily Juice Apple Pear Kiwi & Lime.
