Volluto blends pure and lightly roasted Arabica from South America. The capsule has an intensity rating of 4 out of 12 and comes in a gold colour.
The espresso was a translucent black-brown colour with a sweet biscuity aroma. Made as a long black with a 1:1 water to espresso ratio, the coffee had a smooth mouthfeel with an initial gentle acidity developing with fruity apple juice notes into the body before a sweet cereal finish recalled a caramelised biscuit. The biscuity and fruity notes of this coffee are well balanced, with its mellow flavour and low-intensity rating making it a perfect coffee for an afternoon pick-me-up.
