In the mood for some premium ice cream, we picked up this Häagen-Dazs Cookie Dough Chip.
It’s a blend of vanilla ice cream with chunks of buttery cookie dough (13%) and sweet chocolate fudge chunks (6%).
The vanilla ice cream has a smooth bean flavour but it’s the chunks of chocolate fudge that are the highlight. They add pops of mildly bitter dark chocolate that contrasts with the sweetness of the vanilla and cookie dough chunks. Indeed, the cookie dough chunks were disappointing, tasting like grainy globs of creamed sugar and butter that added a firmer mouthfeel but did not add much positive flavour. We’ll need to look elsewhere for our indulgent ice cream fix.
This Häagen-Dazs Cookie Dough Chip contained 457 ml. It was produced in France and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
