Shopping at Daiso is more enjoyable in Japan, not only because of the wider range, but simply because everything is sold for less than half the price. So we take the chance to try their wide range of cough drops. This one here is the Daiso Sugar Free Cough Drops Blueberry.

It contained 10 herbal extracts: peppermint, elder, fennel, ginger, yarrow, thyme, eucalyptus, clove, cardamom and cinnamon.

Each drop is about 1.5 x 1 x 0.7 cm in size with an opaque red-purple colour and a sweet berry aroma. Upon tasting, the drops have the natural sweetness of ripe blueberries with prominent acidity. There’s a very enjoyable herbal undertone that elevates the blueberry flavour, with the peppermint giving the candy a cooling sensation, while the elder and eucalyptus bring floral notes. We enjoy this flavour immensely with it being sugar-free a bonus.
This Daiso Sugar Free Cough Drops Blueberry contained 51 g or 10 pieces. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Ōsaka, Japan in 2018.
