This Nespresso Limited Edition Cafe Istanbul is a part of the ‘Coffee House’ limited edition series. It’s inspired by the coffee traditions of Istanbul in the 16th century where the Arabian Mocha beans originated from Yemen and were then blended with East Indies and Indian coffees.

It has an intensity of 10 out of 12 and comes in a dark blue capsule with light blue patterns.

The espresso was a translucent dark brown with an intense roasted and peppery aroma. Prepared as a long black with a 1-to-1 water-to-espresso ratio, the same intense roasted notes came through from the head of each sip into the body where spicy black pepper spicy emerged with a prominent bitterness in the finish. Overall, the coffee was rich with roasted and bitter notes dominating and almost no acidity. Served with a sweetener and milk, the coffee took on a more rounded, full-bodied mouthfeel.
This Nespresso Limited Edition Cafe Istanbul contained 10 x 5.3 g capsules. It was produced in Switzerland and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
