Not too satisfied with either Oreo ice cream cones or sticks, we pinned our hopes on the Oreo Ice Cream Sandwich.
Each ice cream sandwich is around 8 cm in diameter and 2 cm thick in size and consisted of a vanilla ice cream with Oreo cookie crumb throughout sandwiched between two Oreo cookies. Oreo cookies make up 44% of the sandwich.
Essentially a cookies and cream flavoured ice cream sandwich, this format is a natural one for an Oreo cookie that works superbly in both flavour and texture. The ice cream is smooth and creamy with enough interest from the Oreo cookie crumbs and balanced well by the oversized Oreo cookies, which are characteristically less sweet and higher in cocoa than the average chocolate cookie. This ice cream sandwich format is easily more successful than previous and current attempts to turn Oreo cookies into cones.
