These Thins Pie & Sauce flavoured like the Aussie icon that is the meat pie and tomato sauce were released way back at the start of the year to celebrate Australia Day.
The chips were thinly cut with a yellow-orange coloured seasoning and a tangy and savoury aroma. Upon tasting, the flavour of tomato sauce is dominant and came through as an enjoyable sweet tanginess before the savoury notes of the mystery meat inside a meat pie emerged in the body to round the tanginess of the tomato and lingered in the aftertaste. While we enjoy this tangy savoury flavour that does indeed recall a meat pie, the flavour recedes after a few chips.
