There’s something particularly satisfying about chunky, thick-cut chips, so we were excited to see these Kettle Chip Company Chunky Himalayan Pink Salt on the shelves at our local supermarket.

The chips smell the same as ordinary salted chips with the difference being they’re about 1.5-2 mm thick, though a significant proportion of the chips do not retain their thickness after puffing up during the frying process and resulting in a large pocket of air with thin potato chip walls. Nevertheless, on tasting, the thick-cut chips deliver a potato flavour in comparison to ordinary kettle chips, while the salt brought moreish savoury punctuation throughout the chip. This would be the perfect ship if there were more consistency in the thickness.
This Kettle Chip Company Chunky Himalayan Pink Salt contained 150 g. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2020.
