This is the Nestlé KitKat Chocolatory Sublime Passionfruit. This is part of their premium range sold only as single full-sized wafers.
Each wafer is individually wrapped in foil and ‘covered in white couverture chocolate, infused with passionfruit juice powder’. It contained 2.8% passionfruit juice concentrate.
Like the yuzu, this passionfruit KitKat has a prominent cocoa butter aroma that does not give any fruity hints. Upon tasting, the teeth go through the crispy wafers before reaching the sweetness of the cream sandwiching the wafers. Shortly after, though, as the white chocolate melts on the tongue, a delectable balance of sweet and sour notes that define the delicious tanginess of passionfruit emerged and builds to a salivating peak in the finish ahead of a clean aftertaste. It is truly a taste sensation that has us chasing bite after bite. Now, if only there were more to this wafer finger!
