This is the Arnott’s Iced Coffee Slice, which takes inspiration from the classic Mint Slice as well as Dare, a brand of bottled coffee flavoured milk.
Each biscuit is 4 cm in width and 1 cm in height and consisted of a creamy espresso made with Robusta and Arabica coffee atop a chocolate biscuit and enrobed in milk chocolate.
The biscuits have a gentle coffee aroma while biting through, the first flavour was the sweetness of milk chocolate before reaching the softness of the coffee cream and the crunch of the biscuit. As the cream dissolves, the coffee flavour developed with a subtle bitterness that balances the sweetness of the cream and chocolate well, adding an enjoyable richness in the body, while the biscuit releases a hint of saltiness. This is a well-balanced biscuit, though we prefer the refreshing brightness of the Mint Slice.
