This Senshō Kabosu Honey is made from kabosu and honey from Ōita Prefecture. We picked this up during our 2019 travels to the prefecture where kabosu is produced in most areas.

The concentrate is an opaque yellow-orange colour with bright kabosu aroma.

Diluting 1 part syrup with 5 parts still or sparkling water, the beverage was a yellow-beige colour with the unique fragrance of kabosu. Served chilled, the notes of kabosu came through bright with sweet and floral melon notes at the head before a refreshing mintiness developed in the body that culminates in a zesty and acidic lemony finish. As a cordial, the usual acidity the fruit is subdued by the addition of honey but the distinct zesty, melony and minty notes leave no doubt as to its kabosu origins. We enjoy this fruity, floral beverage.
This Senshō Kabosu Honey contained 300 ml. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Beppu, Ōita Prefecture, Japan in 2019.
