Barilla Mulino Bianco Cuoricini

These Barilla Mulino Bianco Cuoricini — chocolate chip heart-shaped cookies — caught our fancy with their Italian origin. Cuoricini (kwor-ih-chi-ni) means little hearts, and according to the manufacturer, ‘just one taste of their chocolate drips will make your heart melt’.

Each heart-shaped cookie is 4.5 cm at its widest and longest point with a dark chocolate aroma. Upon tasting, the cookies deliver a dry crunch that crumbles to a fine crumb that swiftly picks up moisture to give a toasted and buttery flavour that’s well restrained in its sweetness before hints of dark chocolate melt onto the palate in the finish and deliver a bolder, richer sweetness. These were very dry cookies, but the fineness of their crumb and their finesse in the development of the butter and chocolate notes throughout each bite makes it difficult for us to stop munching.

This Barilla Mulino Bianco Cuoricini contained 200 g. It was produced in Italy and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2020.
