Following on from our previous foray, this is the Honey Chicken ($15.80) from Dragon 88. Honey chicken is easily one of our favourite dishes at a Chinese restaurant.
Here, the pieces of chicken were much smaller, resulting in a higher batter to chicken ratio. Generally, we don’t mind the smaller pieces of chicken but the condensation meant it was less crunchy than we’d hoped. That said, the honey flavour was more pronounced, although still not as sticky as we’ve come to enjoy from the version at BBQ One in Eastwood.

We also picked up their Deep Fried Duck with Plum Sauce ($20.80). This one combines the sauce into the same container as the one from Fortune Bites, so the deep-fried pieces of duck lost some of their crispiness, although they were similarly boneless. That said, we did enjoy the addition of the fresh pineapple chunks, which added some freshness.
