This is the Smith’s Potato Chips Double Crunch Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings, marketed for their increased crunch factor.
The chips were a tad thicker with a deeper crinkle-cut form than the usual chips from the line. They’re dusted in a red-brown seasoning with a chicken aroma, much like most other chips on the market. Upon tasting, the extra crunch was evident from the first bite, with a regular chicken flavour coming through into the body with an enjoyable savoury quality of onion and quality that developed with a gentle warmth in the finish.
Overall, we are fans of the extra crunch and while the flavour of these chips is delivered on the chicken aspect, they were weak on the hot and spicy.
