These Asahi Mintia Golden Kiwi are golden kiwifruit flavoured sugarless mints that come in a 7 mm thick box. They get their golden kiwi flavour from kiwifruit juice powder, which is the first ingredient, impressively.
The mints were round in shape (7 mm in diameter and 3 mm in height) with an opaque white colour with the slightest yellow tinge. They had a fragrant kiwifruit aroma that escaped their packaging and came through similarly bright on tasting. The initial taste was sweet, followed swiftly by a pleasant acidity, the combination of which captured the flavour of the fruit itself and persisted as the mint dissolved. The mints left a gently cooling mouthfeel without minty flavour and took up to 2 minutes to dissolve. They were very enjoyable mints.
