The beverage was an opaque bright red colour with a juicy aroma of ripe tomatoes and a moderate carbonation. Served chilled, vibrant notes of tomatoes — vine-ripened and at peak ripeness — came through at the head of each sip with a deep sweetness and rich balancing umami. The sweetness came to prominence in the finish and faded in the aftertaste, leaving only a refreshing ripe tomato flavour lingering on the palate. It was, without a doubt, a sweet cider, yet it was very enjoyable and easy to drink as it captured the true taste of ripe tomatoes without forcing the sweetness.
