This is the Imuraya Yawamochi Ice Matcha Warabimochi.

It consisted of Uji matcha ice cream topped with a layer of kuromitsu sauce and three pieces of warabimochi and dusted in a powdered blend of matcha and kinako.

The ice cream was smooth and creamy with a gentle matcha flavour that was amplified by the matcha powder yet avoided any hint of bitterness, while the kuromitsu delivered a rich sweetness that carried each spoonful with a delectable depth along with the gentle nuttiness from the kinako powder. The warabimochi was chewy straight from the freezer and took on a soft stretchiness after sitting outside for a few minutes. Every spoonful of ice cream gave a little bit of each component for a most enjoyable mini-sized treat.
This Imuraya Yawamochi Ice Matcha Warabimochi contained 4 x 80 mL cups. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
