The initial firm snap gave way to a melt-in-the-mouth creamy smoothness with distinct musty-woody notes of bitterness developing with a manageable intensity on every bite. While we’re not fans of the bitterness and lack of balancing sweetness, the creamy mouthfeel of the chocolate, which was without the slightest hint of gritty chalkiness, made it one of the most enjoyable high cocoa-content chocolate bars we’ve encountered.
This Whittaker’s Cocoa Lovers Collection 92% Cocoa Ghana Intense Dark Chocolate contained 100 g. It was produced in New Zealand and received as a gift from relatives in New Zealand in 2022.
