This is the Asahi Mitsuya Craft Cola, which took the foundation of classic cola flavour and infused it with citrus fruits and a blend of eight spices. In contrast to the typical approach of simmering spices, herbs, and citrus for traditional craft cola, this version utilized a cold-brew, no-heat method.

Upon sipping, a noticeable hint of citrus, akin to lemon peel, emerged at the forefront. This was succeeded by the warm, earthy, and spiced notes, prominently featuring elements like cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, and ginger, among the eight spices incorporated in the concoction. Thanks to the cold-brew technique, the spice flavours presented a more subdued and well-rounded profile than the usual intense character of craft colas. The beverage maintained a moderate level of sweetness that balanced any lingering bitterness from the spices. Overall, this craft cola offered an enjoyable experience, with the cold brew method enhancing the accessibility of the spice elements for those new to the craft cola scene.
This Asahi Mitsuya Craft Cola contained 500 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2023.
