The ume contained 5% fruit juice from Nankou Ume grown in Wakayama Prefecture.
The jelly had a notable aroma and flavour of distinct ume, reminiscent of apricot with a musky sweet-sour profile. While the initial bite offered a sweet ume essence, progressing through the jelly revealed a pleasant, understated tartness.
The lychee contained 13% fruit juice from lychee and apple.
Initial floral notes of lychee unfolded with a gradual emergence of mellow sweetness, complemented by a delicate apple-derived acidity in the final notes. Despite the incorporation of apple juice, the distinctive identity of lychee remained intact, delivering an enjoyable and unmistakably recognizable lychee flavour.
This Orihiro Purunto Konnyaku Jelly Ume + Lychee contained 240 g, 12 x ume and 12 x lychee. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Tōkyō, Japan in 2023.
