This is the J Crackleton Pork Crackle Original. It boasted of being being with choice rind and not pellets.
A distinct porky aroma was immediately noticeable upon opening the packaging. Each piece of pork crackle had its own unique size, contributing to the variation in both flavour and texture. Most pieces had an exceptionally crunchy, almost hard texture. The same porky flavour detected in the aroma was prominent upon biting into each piece, peaking mid-bite and concluding with a mild salty note. Compared to the Cracker Master’s version, this pork crackle was notably denser, resulting in a more audible and satisfying crunch. While some pieces required more effort to chew than others, the overall variation was appreciated. It also had a richer porky flavour compared to Cracker Master, relying on the inherent taste of the pork rather than salt yeast extract for its flavour profile. We would purchase these pork crackles again.
