This is the Orion My Gummy Jelly Grape. It contained 4.0% green grape juice concentrate (68% solid content), 1.8% red grape juice concentrate (68% solid content).
Featuring a translucent purple hue with a green-hued centre, each gummy had on a circular dome shape measuring 2 cm in diameter and 1.5 cm in height. The gummies emitted a sweet aroma of grapes and had a slightly sticky exterior.
Upon tasting, the teeth bit through a thin, firmer exterior that was elastic before reaching the jelly centre. With each subsequent chew, richly sweet notes of red grape were released from the gummy exterior, while the jelly centre retained a subtle bounce before melting on the palate to deliver a lighter, crisper sweetness that complemented the exterior when eaten together. We found the interplay of flavors and textures in this grape version to be vastly more enjoyable than the plum version, where the interior jelly lacked the same melt-in-the-mouth bounce. Overall, while the grape flavors lacked the vibrancy and freshness of grape gummies produced in Japan, we enjoyed these gummies enough to purchase them as a bag of six.
