This is the Orion My Gummy Jelly Plum. It contained 1.9% plum concentrated juice (70% solid content).
Each gummy featured a translucent red hue with a yellow-hued centre and had a circular dome shape measuring 2 cm in diameter and 1.5 cm in height. Emitting a sweet and slightly tart plum aroma, the gummies had a very sticky exterior.
Upon tasting, the teeth bit through a thin, firmer exterior that was bouncy and elastic before reaching the jelly centre, which lacked any bounce. With each subsequent chew, tart notes of plum were released from the bouncy exterior, while the jelly centre melted on the palate to deliver the rich sweetness of plum. When consumed together, the acidity somewhat balanced the sweetness and resulted in a sweet red plum flavour distinct from the more common maesil. Overall, the flavour of these gummies was not particularly distinctive, and the texture leaned too heavily on the jelly component rather than the gummy aspect.
