This is the Smith’s Potato Chips Double Crunch Spicy Chicken Skewers. It was a limited flavour coinciding with the release of the Rebel Moon series on Netflix, and inspired by the ‘fare cooked by workers deep within the min shafts of Daggus’.
The potato chips featured a pronounced crinkle cut and were generously coated in an orange-hued seasoning with large red flecks, emitting a familiar savoury chicken scent. Upon sampling, the chips provided a gratifyingly audible crunch, accompanied by a nuanced progression of flavours. Beginning with a subtle sweetness, the chicken flavour then developed into a rich savoury profile mid-bite. Towards the finish of the first chip, a moderate spicy kick emerged, persisting and intensifying with subsequent chips yet without overshadowing the underlying chicken flavour.
Overall, these chips offered a satisfying crunch, robust chicken flavour, and a notable spicy heat. While we would consider repurchasing, our preference still leans towards Tyrrells or Burts Snacks.
