This is the Tarami Torokeru Ajiwai Honkaku White Peach Jelly, which we initially thought was identical to and had been replaced by the Gohobi version. This version also used white peaches sourced from China.

Six half-peach segments, each approximately 3 x 2 x 2 cm, floated at the top of a clear agar jelly. The peach segments had a delectable firm bite, delivering a fresh, mellow floral sweetness typical of white peaches. This contrasted sharply with the mushy, almost overcooked texture of the Gohobi version. The jelly was more firmly set, smoother, and less crumbly than the Gohobi version, offering a rich white peach flavor from the juice and purée. It melted smoothly on the palate, providing a wonderful contrast with the firmness of the peach segments. The superior flavor and texture of this version made it worth repurchasing.
This Tarami Torokeru Ajiwai Honkaku White Peach Jelly contained 210 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
