This is the Campbell’s Chunky Soup Chilli Beef. It contained 88% vegetables (tomato purée, red kidney bean, carrot, onion, tomato, capsicum) and 8% beef and beef stock.
The soup had a deep red-orange hue with a consistency slightly thicker than baked beans. On tasting, it offered a rich tomato and capsicum flavour reminiscent of salsa, generously spiced but with only a faint heat, similar to spiced baked beans. The softness of the carrots exacerbated the mushy texture already from the beans, and the bits of minced beef were barely noticeable. Overall, this soup was underwhelming and not one we would repurchase.
