This is the Kikkoman Soy Milk Black Sesame, which contained at least 4% soybean solids, blended with black sesame seeds, and fortified with vitamin E (3.2 mg per 200 mL).
The beverage had an opaque grey hue and a mellow, nutty aroma. When consumed chilled, the black sesame flavour was pronounced, offering a fragrant, toasty quality characteristic of black sesame. The mouthfeel was exceptionally smooth and slightly creamy, with minimal grit from the black sesame powder. The richness of the sesame flavour lingered pleasantly on the palate through to the finish. The sweetness was very restrained, allowing the mellow savoury notes of the black sesame to shine without overpowering or creating a dessert-like profile. This balance made it a highly enjoyable flavoured soy milk drink that we would not hesitate to repurchase.
