This T2 Gorgeous Geisha was one of my first teas from T2 that I first purchased in 2010 and remains one of my favourite flavoured teas from T2.

The tea is a looseleaf sencha scented with the flavour of strawberries and cream and freeze-dried strawberries.

Steeping 3 g of looseleaf in 200 mL of 75°C water for 90 seconds, the infusion was a clear straw colour with a creamy and sweet strawberry aroma. Served hot, the same luscious strawberry notes came through with a creamy smoothness ahead of mellow vegetal notes from the sencha emerging in the body before the creamy strawberry notes return in the finish. The strawberry flavour here is sweet without any of the acidity from the fresh fruit, so the flavour dabbles into artificiality in comparison to the more naturally flavoured Lupicia Tochiotome Green Tea, but does give a smoother and creamier mouthfeel that makes it a pleasure to drink.

This T2 Gorgeous Geisha contained 100 g. The tea was packed in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2010.
