This is the Michael Jackson ($8.50), composed of cold brew topped with cream, orange zest, nutmeg, and chocolate powder, and effectively a variation on the Melbourne-originated Mont Blanc.
Visually, the drink lived up to its namesake, presenting as a snow-capped peak of white cream resting on a dark coffee base, evoking a Mont Blanc dusted with snow.
When sipped as recommended by the barista, the profile was notably smooth and cohesive. The initial mouthfuls, shaped by the thickness of the cream, recalled the rich coffee-and-cocoa character of tiramisù, gently lifted by a restrained note of orange and nutmeg. As the sip progressed and the balance shifted towards the coffee, the flavour deepened into a darker, more coffee-forward expression, while remaining controlled and even. There was no intrusive bitterness, sharp acidity, or excessive sweetness or citrus at any stage.
Overall, a composed and indulgent cold brew that moved gracefully from creamy dessert-like richness to a clean, coffee-led finish without losing balance.
This Michael Jackson was purchased from Seeker Coffee in Sydney, Australia in December 2025.
