UHA Mikakutō Mochu White Peach

This is the UHA Mikakutō Mochu White Peach, made using Yoshino kudzu, and concentrated fruit juice from peach and apple.

Each gummy was square in form, measuring approximately 2 × 2 × 1 cm, with an opaque pink–orange hue and a rich, sweetly floral white peach aroma.

On tasting, the gummy offered a thick, jiggly, gel-like structure, despite its dry surface. It was exceptionally soft and elastic to the touch, yielding easily and rebounding with a springy resilience reminiscent of mochi pull. This tender, stretchy texture remained consistent throughout chewing. The white peach flavour was released immediately upon biting, opening with an intense yet clean floral sweetness. After several chews, a bright note of juicy acidity emerged, adding lift and balance to the otherwise rich peach profile. The flavour remained natural and well-judged, never tipping into excess, with the gentle acidity lingering pleasantly in the aftertaste.

Overall, a highly successful expression of white peach supported by a novel and pleasing texture. The use of kudzu, with its relatively neutral flavour, allowed both texture and fruit character to shine more clearly than in similar mochi-style gummies made with rice flour, making this a confident candidate for repurchasing.

This UHA Mikakutō Mochu White Peach contained 45 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2025.
