Horned Melon

Tasted like a cross between a passionfruit and a cucumber, combining the gelatinous, seed-filled texture of the former with the mild, refreshing flavour of the latter. The experience was more notable for its unusual texture than for flavour intensity.

Tamarillo

Tasted like a cross between a passionfruit and a tomato, sharing the soft, pulpy texture of the former while delivering the tangy, slightly savoury character of the latter. The balance of acidity and umami gave it a distinctive profile unlike most sweet fruits.

Lemonade Apple

Despite its name, it tasted closer to a standard Golden Delicious than more aromatic modern yellow cultivars such as Shinano Gold or Yello. The texture lacked the crispness expected of premium dessert apples, while the flavour was comparatively restrained and not especially aromatic.
