Coca-Cola launched a new recipe for Coca-Cola No Sugar in September 2021, that aimed to create a no-sugar drink as close as possible to Coke Classic.
The beverage was a semi-translucent dark brown colour with the signature acidic cola aroma of the classic. Served chilled, an initial acidity accompanied by the usual cola flavour — a mix of citrus, vanilla and cinnamon — came through at the head of each sip before giving way to a gentle sweetness towards the finish that lingered lightly in the aftertaste. Overall, this No Sugar version did follow the basic flavour of the Classic but it was most definitely distinguishable due to its more restrained sweetness and lack of full-bodied mouthfeel in comparison, which resulted in a taste that recalled a watered-down version of the Classic.
This Coca-Cola No Sugar contained 250 mL. It was produced in Australia and received as part of a promotion in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
