After reading a news article online that Coca-Cola was bringing back their world-first peach-flavoured Coca-Cola in Japan in 2019 (with real peach juice!), I reminisced to D about how much we enjoyed the original when it first came out in February 2018 and wished they’d come out with the flavour in Australia. Lo and behold, a fortnight later we spotted Coca-Cola No Sugar Peach while waiting at the supermarket check out!

The soft drink was a semi-opaque deep brown colour with a bright aroma of golden peaches against a cola background and a moderate carbonation. Served chilled, the same bright fruity notes of golden peaches persist from the start to end of the sip with the characteristic acidity of the cola making its presence known in the body briefly with the bubbling carbonation before the peach notes return prominently in the finish to leave a lingering peach aftertaste.
While we prefer the Japanese formulation, we’re not disappointed as we expected peach flavoured foods and drinks in Japan to taste far superior to those in Australia as they base their peach flavour on white-fleshed, rather than yellow-fleshed, peaches.
This Coca-Cola No Sugar Peach contained 1.5 l. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
