Coca-Cola I LOHAS Aloe

This is the Coca-Cola I LOHAS Aloe, made with aloe extract from Okinawa Prefecture.

The beverage was clear and colourless, with a muscat-like aroma typical of aloe-flavoured drinks. Consumed chilled, it had a subtle sweetness and bright acidity mid-sip, balanced by the distinct savoury, electrolyte-like undertone characteristic of the I LOHAS series. In flavour, it closely resembled aloe beverages with aloe flesh or nata de coco, but with a smooth, texture-free consistency.

As natural aloe is odourless and slightly bitter, the noticeable “aloe” flavour likely came from the added flavouring listed as the final ingredient. While lightly sweet and refreshing, its subtle savoury quality and mild aloe notes didn’t make it particularly distinct. Ultimately, it was a refreshing, low-calorie option but not unique enough to stand out among other I LOHAS flavours or aloe-based drinks on the market.

This Coca-Cola I LOHAS Aloe contained 540 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
