Nescafé Farmers Origins South Asia Espresso

This is the Nescafé Farmers Origins South Asia Espresso.

The coffee was a dark roast of Robusta beans from Vietnam and India. It came in a dark green-black capsule and an intensity rating of 12 out of 13.

When served black with a 1:1 water to espresso ratio, the coffee had a full body with a commanding bitterness that emerged at the start of each sip and persisted into the body, where notably woody notes developed. This bitter, woody quality finished each sip, with the bitterness lingering long on the palate and, much like its aroma, bordering on burnt. The dominating dark roasted notes meant there was minimal acidity, yet the coffee also lacked depth. While milk and sweetener rounded out the flavour somewhat, overall, it was not a coffee we would repurchase.

This Nescafé Farmers Origins South Asia Espresso contained 46 g or 10 x 4.6 g capsules. It was produced in Switzerland and received as a part a promotion Sydney, Australia in 2024.
