BBQ One opened a dedicated dine-in restaurant called BBQ One Wok Inn just a couple of stores down.

The interior is stylish, quiet and spacious. It is everything the complete opposite of the cramped dine-in space of their busy roast meats shopfront, which still supplies the meat to the new restaurant.

As is customary, we began with a complimentary soup. It was a well-seasoned pork-based soup with hairy melon and carrots. It’s a light and enjoyable start to the meal.

Honey Chicken ($18.00, +$2.00 for each serving of steamed rice).
One of our favourite Chinese dishes, the version here used fresh oil, but the batter was not quite as crisp as we’d liked. Our past encounters with this dish at the previous location seemed to suggest this depended on the chef preparing the dish, so it may be hit-and-miss. That said, the amount of honey sauce was generous with each piece well covered without being overly cloying. We’d return for it.
BBQ One Wok Inn is located at 175 Rowe St, Eastwood NSW 2122.
