This is the Glico Pretz Roast Salt Butter. It used whole grain flour and fermented butter (1.7%).
Each package contained two silver bags adorned with an orange striped design to replicate both sides of the actual Pretz stick.
Each bag had approximately 20 biscuit sticks, which were coated in an incredibly fine beige seasoning and emitted a mellow buttery aroma.
Upon tasting, the biscuit stick delivered a satisfying crunch with an initial sweetness on the surface. This evolved into a savoury buttery quality mid-bite, where the flavour of the biscuit, with its roasted notes, became prominent and dominated into the finish. Overall, this version was more enjoyable than the overt buttery sweetness of earlier iterations, as the savoury roasted quality provided better balance. However, the flavour was not particularly interesting, making it unlikely to be repurchased.
