We’re a fan of the Yamazaki Biscuits Noir Black Cocoa that came onto the market when Oreo production exited in Japan so picked up this Yanazaki Biscuit Black Cocoa Sticks Salty Nuts.

Each box contained 2 foil sealed individual bags.

There are 6 sticks in each bag with each stick being 11 cm long and 1 cm in diameter.

Upon tasting, the wafer is crisp with a bold cocoa flavour with very restrained sweetness, which is mostly carried by the cream within. The cream is smooth with a gentle sweetness that is well balanced by the mellow saltiness of the nutty cream. While the cream is smooth, the nutty flavour was prominent, much like a Nutella without the cloying sweetness, and so makes for a deliciously moreish snack.
This Yamazaki Biscuits Black Cocoa Sticks Salty Nuts contained 64 g or 2 bags of 6 sticks. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Tōkyō, Japan in 2019.
