This is the Okiko Uchina Gumi Guminchu Okinawa Pineapple. It used the juice of pineapples cultivated in Okinawa, a Japanese prefecture renowned for its tropical climate.
Each gummy had a translucent golden-yellow appearance, measuring approximately 1.5 x 1.5 x 1 cm in size, and emitted a sweet and indulgent aroma of ripe golden pineapple. When tasted, these gummies displayed a soft and pleasantly elastic texture that provided a satisfying chew. With each successive bite, the sweetness of golden pineapples shone through, enhancing the overall pineapple flavour. Midway through each bite, the pineapple flavour reached a vibrant, fragrant peak, showcasing its freshness. The overall pineapple flavour was profoundly sweet, reminiscent of sun-ripened pineapples at their peak of perfection, with a subtle touch of acidity that mirrored the fruit’s natural profile. Remarkably, despite this richness, the gummies left behind a clean and refreshing aftertaste. All in all, we found the robust texture and fruity flavour of these Okinawan gummies to be quite delightful.
