Tarami Torokeru Ajiwai Gohobi Golden Peach Jelly

This is the Tarami Torokeru Ajiwai Gohobi Golden Peach, made using juice from golden peaches produced in Nagano Prefecture, with the fruit pieces sourced from China.

The jelly had a golden-orange hue with visible slices of golden peach suspended within. The packaging recommended consuming it frozen.

When eaten frozen, the texture resembled a peach kakigōri. The outer edges softened slightly, developing a lightly creamy, melt-in-the-mouth quality, while the centre retained a firmer, shaved ice-like structure. The peach pieces became noticeably chewier when frozen, providing more concentrated bursts of tangy sweetness compared with the milder jelly base.

The contrast between the softer melting jelly and the firmer fruit pieces gave the dessert variation in both texture and flavour. In this state, it was particularly refreshing.

Overall, a simple frozen jelly dessert with good textural contrast and clear peach flavour, best enjoyed straight from the freezer.

This Tarami Torokeru Ajiwai Gohobi Golden Peach contained 200 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2026.
