Glico Papico Muscat of Alexandria

This is the Glico Papico Muscat of Alexandria, made with 40% juice from Muscat of Alexandria grapes sourced from Australia.

The fruit sherbet was packaged in two soft plastic bottles with easily tearable tops for convenience. It had an opaque light green colour. The sherbet’s thick consistency made it easy to squeeze or sip directly from the packaging. The muscat flavour was immediate, delivering a crisp, lightly floral sweetness that developed into a hint of juicy acidity towards the finish, unexpectedly offering a subtle, ginger-like spice note that wasn’t listed in the ingredients. Overall, it was a refreshing sherbet with a delightful muscat flavour from the 40% juice, though we would have preferred some added textural interest, similar to the strawberry version, perhaps through the inclusion of grape flesh or purée.

This Glico Papico Muscat of Alexandria contained 160 mL (80 ml x 2). It was produced in Japana and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
