We’re fans of chocolate and coffee and were delighted to see this new Häagen-Dazs Brownie Macchiato in the freezer section. It was released in late 2019 as part of a Barista Collection that also included ‘Caramel Chai Latte’.
The ice cream is described as being a ‘mild Robusta coffee ice cream with an intense coffee sauce (12%) and generous chocolate brownie pieces (7.5%)’.
The ice cream is an opaque tan colour with chunks of brown and darker brown throughout, while the heady aroma of coffee and chocolate was evident on opening the tub. Upon tasting, the coffee notes came through just as boldly in contrast to many other coffee flavoured foods that are rather weak on the intensity of the coffee. That said, the intense coffee flavour does not dominated the chunks of chocolate brownie, which bring a chewy texture along with intense hits of chocolate. We thoroughly enjoyed the flavours and textures of this ice cream.
This Haagen-Dazs Brownie Macchiato Pint contained 457 ml. It was produced in France and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
