Laziness and a new found penchant for pearls sees me continuing my adventures with various flavoured teas at the various Taiwan-style drink franchises with this Chatime Apple Green Tea ($5.00 for regular, +$0.70 for pearls) with no ice and 30% sugar.

The tea is a cloudy lush green colour with a fruity aroma of crisp apple. Served chilled, the same notes of crisp apple came through from the head of each sip developing with a pleasant acidity that reminds of tart green apples before the mild astringency and vegetal qualities of the green tea came through in the body and the sweetly crisp notes of green apple return in the finish. The vegetal qualities of the green tea brighten the crispness of the apple flavour to remind of apple skin. A very light astringency lingered on the palate with residual sweetness.
